It’s just sort of irritating to come back to an rp group after a few weeks away to discover a huge possible plot in the works that very much would involve you even if only because of placement, and to not have any warning. Oropher’s mod had to inform me because there were no posts about it tagged with any of our blogs, no asks sent, nothing. I’ve been checking Glorfindel regularly, yet there was never anything that needed his attention so I didn’t do anything active because I’ve been getting ready for college. And I’ve never once seen word of this plan until orpy’s mod told me and I sent a vague all call out that Maedhros answered vaguely, and Thuringwethil even more vaguely. So, please excuse my irritation at having no warning of this supposed new plot line. And if you really plan to adjust this thing so it doesn’t involve anyone who doesn’t want to be, please be very particular about how you do it. Because I know Elrond and myself and almost definitely Ecthelion do not want a part in it, and if anything comes near Imladris there is no in character way they would be able to ignore it as some of if not the most important elves in Imladris, without completely splitting the rp so that we become 2 different rp groups. I’m not trying to dissuade this plot if you can find a way for it to work for both the people who want to join in and those who want nothing to do with it- just please be very careful with how you go about it so that it works for everyone. Unless you do want to split rp groups for it, in which case people need to be informed before more confusion and drama is caused.))

It’s been adjusted as it was meant to not be an attack on Imladris, and from what I now understand, it will be a small scouting party that will pick off wanderers in the area outside of the valley. The full “army” will not be anywhere near there, but instead in Thuringwethil’s tower far-off.

Drama was never meant to be caused, and we do apologize for making anyone feel as though they were excluded or forced into RP that they were not interested in.))

That will work a lot better for everyone I think- and thank you so much for telling me that much, as that’s the most I’ve heard on this plot aside from vague hinting. Until now, all I’ve heard has led me believe that a full scale attack on Imladris was planned without the participation of the main members of Imladris. What you said will be a good plan for everyone to do their own thing, I think.

It’s no problem! It’s just I know myself personally and a few others of the mods have had issues in this group before with plotlines started among a few involving other people’s characters causing a large amount of drama, and even almost convincing a few of us to leave our characters. So we definitely wanted to just nip this in the bud and figure out what was going on before it got steamrolling and we were trapped in it. Thank you for telling me more clearly what’s been happening and what’s planned, oh wonderful salgant!mod <3 ))

((Glorfindel - Easy. The RP will be only be focusing on the ones involved during the TinyChat discussion yesterday. Glorfindel and the others need not get involved if they do not wish to; we’re not expecting them to and we certainly aren’t forcing anyone. We focused on only the characters who will be involved, and there’s a ton planned for those characters who are actively involved. So you can very easily pretend none of this is happening if you do not wish. :)

Thur - It’s up to you. Personally, I think the villains coming here have really brought so much life into the RP that had become inactive for a long while. :) So yes, I was very enthusiastic seeing you all on here! We were already discussing extending things for Salgant, so I do not see it as a problem. That way, while the villains plan we can also explore them further. :) I think the others just need to take a deep breath and first find out the full story behind the new developments, because this was decided on by a large big group of players (and new players!) with plenty of planning beforehand. :) And it sounds fun! ))

((Yes, thank you for the link again! :) And another point: it’s not technically a full-on invasion, after re-discussing it with another player. I believe Maglor leaves Imladris, just outside where Elrond could protest him with his ring. So only certain characters get involved. Anyone else want to weigh in on that? We wanted a small battle to happen, to then push the plot into another direction (with Curufin being part of an elven Three Musketeers thing, etc) ))

((Don’t worry about it, bro, you’re not being dickish, just reasonable. It is rather rushed and sudden. It’s probably less of an issue coming from me, since I’m playing Sauron (and have a lot of free time irl) but I wasn’t expecting it either and was slightly dragged along at first. I wouldn’t mind having more time for it to stew and cool down before it gets going :) ))

Were I less…occupied…with Ecthelion, I would say that was a wonderful plan. Perhaps when he is more settled in at Imladris and all has gone back to normal…or at least when everyone has grown used to his antics. I am not sure we will ever go back to normal with him here /laughs

True, but it is a rare sight for me to see recognition from the mortals for this. I have even seen some who do not know of my existence entirely and believe Lady Arwen saved Frodo. I do not understand it.

WIP. Rough linework for the Glorfindel design I’ve been working on. I’ve been doodling him for months now and it’s about time he moved out of my sketchbook and into Photoshop. Going to try and paint over this tomorrow if I have time. There are few design bits that I know will change in that next stage.

I think I’m going to post more of my art here, rather than keeping in exclusively on my blog and DA. So expect tons of First Age characters.

I return to tumblr to find my dash covered in requests of Celebrimor getting an Oliphaunt. I am intrigued.
